Licensed Master Social Worker |
Hello, I’m Jay (she/they), a Licensed Master Social Worker and Supervisee in Social Work, offering trauma-informed therapy for adults and adolescents across Virginia. I provide psychotherapy under the clinical supervision of Brittany Vera, LCSW, and am passionate about offering affirming, inclusive mental health care for the LGBTQ+ community.
Our reasons for seeking therapy are as unique as we are. You may be dealing with chronic anxiety, depression, a deep sense of emptiness, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t break. Perhaps you're navigating relationship difficulties, processing past trauma, or facing questions about identity, meaning, or belonging. Maybe you wonder if you’ve experienced trauma but want a safe space to explore and make sense of your story. I specialize in trauma therapy through a psychodynamic and relational lens, grounded in trust, curiosity, and care. This means we’ll explore how your past experiences—especially in early relationships—continue to shape your current emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Our work may uncover long-standing patterns, unresolved wounds, and opportunities for healing and personal growth. Together, we’ll go at a pace that feels safe for you, building self-understanding, empowerment, and emotional resilience along the way. I work with a wide range of clients and am deeply committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, where your identity is respected, celebrated, and understood. Whether you're exploring gender identity, coping with minority stress, or seeking support in a world that doesn’t always feel safe—this space is yours. Starting therapy is a courageous act. I honor your strength in reaching out and invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I respond to all inquiries within 24 hours and would be honored to support you on your healing journey. 📧 Email: [email protected] |
