About Me

Welcome

Picture
Something brought you here today. Maybe it's the weight of experiences you've never quite been able to put into words. Maybe it's the sense that no matter how hard you try, certain patterns keep showing up — in your relationships, your body, your sense of self. Or perhaps you feel like no matter what you do, you will never be enough. Whatever it is, I want you to know: what you're feeling makes sense, and healing is possible.

I'm a trauma therapist based in Vienna, Virginia, and I'm here to help you find your way back to yourself. I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma and complex trauma, or other challenges related to trauma, like chronic anxiety and depression, or challenges in relationships. I’ve honed my skills and training to provide you with expert care, because you deserve it.

A Different Kind of Therapy

My approach isn't one-size-fits-all. I work somatically — meaning we pay attention to what your body is holding, not just what your mind is thinking. Trauma doesn't only live in our memories; it lives in our nervous systems, our posture, our breath, the way we brace for impact even when there's no danger present. We don’t always need memories of experiences, which can be hard to come by. The scary, challenging, and overwhelming experiences stay with us in many ways in our body and can be accessed in a safe, contained way that helps you feel empowered.

If working with your body doesn’t feel right, I also work from a parts-based framework, drawing on the understanding that we are each made up of many different inner parts — some that protect us, some that carry old pain, and a core self that is wise, resilient, and already within you. Together, we work to bring those parts into conversation rather than conflict.
This kind of therapy can be especially powerful if you:
  • Have experienced trauma or complex, ongoing trauma (C-PTSD)
  • Spend most of your day feeling emotionally overwhelmed or chronically shut down
  • Frequently feel yourself losing track of time and wondering where the day went—hours going unaccounted for
  • Struggle with anxiety, depression, or a persistent sense of disconnection from yourself and others—think feeling alone in a room full of friends
  • Have tried traditional talk therapy and felt like something was still missing or you just are not making progress
  • Feel like your actions or words are outside your control—you seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over again

Who I Work With

I work with adults and older teens (16 and up) who are ready to do meaningful work — even if they're not quite sure where to start. You don't need to have everything figured out to reach out. You just need to be willing to show up.

Whether you're in the early stages of understanding your trauma history or you've been in therapy before and are looking for something that goes deeper, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

Serving Vienna, Oakton, Fairfax, and Beyond

My office is conveniently located in Vienna, Virginia, making it easily accessible for clients throughout Northern Virginia, including Oakton, Fairfax, Reston, and the surrounding communities. I also offer secure teletherapy for individuals anywhere in the Commonwealth of Virginia, so distance is never a barrier to getting support.

Take the First Step

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable — and that already takes courage. If you're curious about whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to schedule a free phone consultation. There's no pressure and no commitment. Just a conversation about where you are and where you'd like to go.

You deserve support that actually reaches you. I'd love to help.
