The No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimates
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to know what your therapy will cost before you receive it.
If you don't have insurance, or you're not planning to use your insurance for your care with us, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your therapy sessions.
What this means for you:
You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling, or at any time during your care.
We'll provide your estimate in writing within 1 business day of scheduling (if your appointment is scheduled at least 3 business days out) or within 3 business days for appointments scheduled further in advance.
Your estimate will include the expected cost of your therapy sessions, including our rates and the anticipated frequency of care.
This is an estimate, not a bill. Actual costs may vary depending on your specific circumstances and the course of treatment.
If you're billed more than your estimate:
If your final bill is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. You can start a dispute by contacting the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS):
Website: www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Phone: 1-800-985-3059
Disputes must be initiated within 120 calendar days of receiving your original bill. Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For questions about your estimate or this notice, please reach out to us directly—we're happy to walk through the numbers with you.
